This report describes the design of the firmware for an Arduino board which is intended to drive some generic ICs (e.g. DDS generators, A/D or D/A converters , etc) which support experiments. The idea behind the design of the firmware it the possibility to support a generic board with a set of base functionalities which can be later extended according to the user needs. This approach allows the developer of the application firmware to focus only of the new parts of the firmware, while the common part remains the same. This project is part of a wider study on the development of flexible instrumentation and distributed control systems.

Abstract
This report describes the design of the firmware for an Arduino board which is intended to drive some generic ICs (e.g. DDS generators, A/D or D/A converters , etc) which support experiments. The idea behind the design of the firmware it the possibility to support a generic board with a set of base functionalities which can be later extended according to the user needs. This approach allows the developer of the application firmware to focus only of the new parts of the firmware, while the common part remains the same. This project is part of a wider study on the development of flexible instrumentation and distributed control systems.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
