In this paper, the description of a new activity started at INRIM Time Laboratory at the end of year 2019, is proposed. It is based on the on-going support provided to the Extreme Energy Events (EEE) Cosmic Rays Observatory, for the metrological characterization and optimization of its timing system. After briefly relating about the Cosmic Rays (CR) and Extensive Air Showers (EAS) phenomena, the description of the EEE Observatory will be provided, highlighting the importance of timing in the detection of EAS correlations. After entering in details of its role, the preliminary activities carried out by INRIM during the first months of collaboration with EEE will be addressed. Some general considerations, together with some future perspectives, will represent the conclusion of the paper.

Abstract
Some general considerations, together with some future perspectives, will represent the conclusion of the paper.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
