Frequency modulation spectroscopy of CH3D and HI molecules at 1.54 μm was achieved by means of an External-Cavity Laser Diode. The measurement of CH3D pressure broadening coefficient was obtained. Preliminary results of frequency locking to HI R(3) transition at 1.54 μm are presented. Stiffer frequency locking to the HI absorption is under development.
