Frequency-doubled Nd : YAG lasers have been frequency stabilized against the hyperfine structure components of 127I2 by means of the sub-Doppler frequency modulation technique. A frequency stability of 3e-13/sqrt(tau) has been obtained for integration times between 1 ms < tau < 100 s with an estimated reproducibility of about 1 kHz (2E-12). The hyperfine spectroscopy of the rovibrational line P(54)32-0 has been performed and the iodine hyperfine constants have been calculated. The pressure shifts of the hyperfine components a1, a2, a10 and a15 have been measured.

Abstract
Frequency-doubled Nd : YAG lasers have been frequency stabilized against the hyperfine structure components of 127I2 by means of the sub-Doppler frequency modulation technique. A frequency stability of 3e-13/sqrt(tau) has been obtained for integration times between 1 ms < tau < 100 s with an estimated reproducibility of about 1 kHz (2E-12). The hyperfine spectroscopy of the rovibrational line P(54)32-0 has been performed and the iodine hyperfine constants have been calculated. The pressure shifts of the hyperfine components a1, a2, a10 and a15 have been measured.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
