A collaboration project, in the form of a bilateral comparison, between INRiM and TUBITAK UME (the Turkish National Metrological Institute) has been set up in late 2018. The purpose of this collaboration was to undertake an examination of some base parameters (fixed-points realisation, gain ratios measurements, size-of-source effect and ambient temperature effects) in the International Temperature Scale (ITS-90) approximation using an InGaAs-based radiation thermometer over the temperature range from 156 °C to 1100 °C. The project, organised and coordinated by INRiM, was formally registered in the BIPM KCDB as EURAMET.T-S7 (Euramet project P1457) with the following title: “Comparison of measurement parameters required in radiance temperature scale realization from 156 °C to 1100 °C ”. The results will be used to support CMC claims of TUBITAK UME for the calibration of 1.6 μm radiation thermometers using the fixed-points blackbody calibration technique. This technical report, in order not to compromise the final outcome of the comparison, anticipates only some of the measurements results already executed at INRiM but, anyway, it must be maintained confidential and for INRiM internal use only.
