The verification of the performance of the cell control system requires specific investigation techniques and near-state-of-the-art measurement capabilities for the environmental physical quantities (i.e., temperature and humidity). The issues concerning the basic definitions and principles, the air humidity measuring instruments – with emphasis to measurements below 0 °C – and the investigation methods for uncertainty estimation are dealt with in this chapter.
